Jameis Winston might go down in history as one of the best quarterbacks to ever put on the pads at Florida State. Despite his immense talent, the former Seminole saw his fair share of personal problems during his time on campus. On Tuesday, the college football hall of fame head coach, Bobby Bowden, who brought FSU to prominence in the 1980’s, 1990’s and 2000’s. While he never actually coached Winston, he had plenty to say about the quarterback calling him “an embarrassment to the program.”
“I think it’s a consensus among FSU fans and boosters that he was an embarrassment to the University” Bowden said, according to MSN. While a consensus hasn’t actually been taken of the majority of fans at this point, Winston’s list of infractions include shoplifting high-priced seafood from a grocery store as well as yelling lewd and lascivious things at female students in the school’s student center. Of course, the worst act he’s been accused of is the rape of another FSU student in December of 2012.
