Freddie Prinze Jr. has recently been the star of the new hit Disney show, “Star Wars Rebels”, but it looks like he’ll be sharing the spotlight with a familiar face. His Wife, Sarah Michelle Geller, has officially joined on to voice a character in the second season.
Shortly after the finale of season one aired, Geller’s involvement with the next season was released. No details have been given about her character, but it’s expected to be a recurring role. Dave Filoni, supervising director of the show made the announcement.
“We’re thrilled to have Sarah Michelle Gellar on board for season two. She is a true ‘Star Wars Rebels’ fan and her passion undoubtedly comes through in the voice recording sessions.”
Geller posted a photo of her and Filoni on Twitter to confirm the announcement. The photo showed Geller in the recording studio, with the caption “anyone want to guess,” implying that her role will remain a secret for the time being.
The former Buffy star joins a well-rounded cast that includes Steve Blum, Taylor Gray, David Oyelowo, Tiya Sircar, Vanessa Marshall, and her husband Freddie Prinze Jr.
